However, I found a better liking to have the game run on Performance mode. After playing the game for the first hour while Graphics mode is on, which makes the game run on 4k resolution and 30 FPS, it is fantastic to see how incredible it looked. Various improvements have been made in terms of lighting, shadow areas, scenery, and battle effects. As their names describe, one mode focuses on improving performance while the other focuses on graphics. One of the newest additions found in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade are the Graphics and Performance modes. It could also serve as a reminder of the events that lead up to the DLC that focuses on Yuffie and Sonon. However, playing the game over again, especially if it’s been a while, will serve as a nice refresher.

Even the trophies that players who played the PS4 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake earned are carried over to the PS5 version. Besides new game modes and a DLC, everything from the base game is the same. With Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, nothing new is added to the base game. The events of the DLC take place in between Cloud’s disappearance and his adventures with Aerith. Along the way, Yuffie and Sonon team up with the original Avalanche group in order to provide a way into Shinra. The game includes an upgraded version of Final Fantasy VII Remake and a DLC which follows Yuffie and Sonon as they infiltrate Shinra in order to steal an ultimate new materia. Do I recommend it?: Yes, to both fans and newcomers.Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, an action role-playing game published by SQUARE ENIX, released on the PlayStation 5 on June 10th, 2021. The music is fantastic for sure and it fits the visuals perfectly! Visually, this is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played! The lighting, the animations, the textures & the setting are breathtaking! Lastly, the set pieces and the visual representation are the best I've ever seen! Some cutscenes look like they are out of a CGI movie and there are so many jaw-dropping moments! I do have few minor complaints though the textures look bad at times, some chapters feel significantly longer than they should've been (Chapter 6, Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 14), and the side-quests are uninteresting. The combat system is excellent! It's like a combination of Hack 'n' Slash & Turn Based at the same time, there are 4 completely different party members to control, tons of different skills, items and builds to use, it's very deep and organic, it feels awesome and it looks phenomenal! The RPG elements and the Materia system are just wonderful! The bosses are some of the best I've ever encountered in a videogame.
The main characters are some of my favorites in a videogame! Most of the side-characters are amazing as well, especially Jessie, Sephiroth and Reno. oh boy, where do I begin! The story is good in my opinion and even though the ending is divisive, I liked it personally and I think that it's too early to criticize it.
